Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has blessed his bosom friend and “archrival,” Abdul Moomen Hayi Moomen, on his birthday today, October 14.
In a Facebook post, Mr Azure prayed that his friend lived long and prospered in all his endeavours.
“My dearest Abdul Hayi Moomen, I pray for God’s blessing and guidance. May you live long in good health and continue to use your talent to God’s glory. May He be your provider and keeper in good and bad times,” he said.
Manasseh Azure Awuni said, “You’re not my friend. You’re my brother, and I truly appreciate you. Happy birthday, sir.”
Mr Moomen, who until recently was a news anchor on GTV, now serves as the Public Relations Officer for the University for Development Studies. The two have built a strong friendship over the years, and they constantly engage in friendly social media banter.
It was no surprise that Manasseh added a footnote to his Facebook post, which read, “NOTE TO READERS: Any good thing I say about Abdul Hayi Moomen is valid for only today. It does not offset my past or future assessment of him.”
