A fast-rising Ghanaian rapper born Seth Adepa Larbie and known in showbiz circles as Larjez is not only celebrating his birthday today, June 3, but also appreciative to God and his teeming fans for welcoming his single dubbed “Ya Sor” – (Y’asɔ) – released about a year ago.
“It was a great feeling when Yasor was released as I saw family and friends and the fans dancing to it. If today is my birthday, then it is only right that the song, which has been a year on the music market, gets me to appreciate all those who welcomed it,” Larjez told AwodaPa.
Meanwhile, the musician, who used to teach at the Ashalaja M/A1 Basic before going on to study at the Ghana Communication Technology University in Accra, has received birthday greetings from his former students.
In an exclusive interview with AwodaPa today, Elizabeth Lartey, a teacher at the Ashalaja M/A 1 Basic School, said she, together with her colleagues, wishes Larjez a breakthrough in the music industry.
“We ask God to guide and protect him in whatever [good thing] he does and we, as well, wish to see him take over Ghana’s music industry in no time. This is a guy whose songs one cannot stop listening to,” she said.
Larjez, now a student of the Ghana Technology University still finds time to mount stages to perform to his teeming supporters. He recently gave an electrifying performance at the Ghana Communication Technology University’s “Fire Up Concert”.
“Logoligi,” “Notin,” “Why,” “Ayigbe Toffee,” and “Matomu” are some songs to the musician’s credit.
