A UK-based Ghanaian woman, Mina Tackie, says she feels she is the luckiest person alive as she celebrates her birthday today, April 27.
“I don’t take birthdays for granted. It reminds us that God has been faithful to us no matter the challenges or successes that come our way. What’s most important is that we live in good health to press forward in the years ahead,” Ms Mina said.
She stated that she will not spend the day praying for herself alone, but for the less fortunate, particularly some folks she left behind in Ghana.
“Once I’m done thanking God for my life and for more blessings to come my way, it would be unfortunate on my part to not say a prayer too for those who wish to, in one way or another, be where I am too. I know it will not be possible to support everybody [physically], but a prayer said is sufficient for all,” Mina Tackie said.
When asked whether there will be a birthday party, Mina said that though work will take a chunk of her time today “there must be some sittings when we are less busy.”
Have the best of the day, Mina Tackie. We share your joy on your special day.
