Renowned International Evangelist, Dr Lawrence Tetteh, today, April 27, sang for TV3’s newscaster and reporter, Portia Gabor, on the occasion of the multiple-award-winning journalist’s birthday.
In a Facebook post shared by Komla Adom, also a newscaster at TV3, Portia Gabor was seen in a video together with Dr Tetteh as the evangelist rallied the TV3 newsroom to sing along to a “happy birthday” song for her.
Earlier in the day, Portia Gabor posted on her Facebook wall saying that: “Surely, goodness and mercy will follow me. Grateful for the gift of life. Happy birthday to me.”
Portia Gabor (previously known as Portia Solomon) has been a well-known face in the Ghanaian media with her long service with Media General’s TV3. On her LinkedIn page, she describes herself as someone who has “travelled extensively to communities across the country to highlight issues affecting Ghanaians and has interviewed many personalities, from ordinary Ghanaians to the Queen of Denmark.”
She has won many awards, in her journalism career, including “Best News Reporter” and “Komla Dumor Most Promising Young Journalist,” both at the Ghana Journalists Association Awards. In 2018, Portia participated in the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Programme.
The newscaster has over the years succeeded in getting herself a household name, and one thing that baffles her teeming followers is how she has stayed “forever young.” Hopefully, today being her birthday, Portia Gabor will give us her secret.
