A teacher at the Wellspring School at Ablekuma, in Greater Accra, who identifies herself as MzGee, has eulogised her colleague, Mavis Amoah, for being one of her sources of inspiration.
In a WhatsApp chat with AwodaPa on Friday, April 22, MzGee said Mrs Mavis Amoah was one of the few people she spoke to on her first day as a teacher in the school.
“I remember coming to Wellspring School and I could be in my class all day till closing time and that earned me the nickname ‘Amalia’ from you. Little did I know we were going to be in a watertight friendship,” MzGee observed.
She said the sort of friendship that exists between the two, at times, leaves many wondering what could be the bond that binds them. “I know people wonder how and why we have become so close, but that’s their puzzle to solve. Doing almost everything together at work, in fact, you are such an amazing person to be with as a friend,” she said.
Mrs Amoah, the young teacher who is said to be a child advocate, “inspires, motivates, and, of course, makes me laugh. Knowing someone as fabulous as you isn’t just amazing, but a blessing too.”
MzGee said, “On your special day, today, April 23, I wish you nothing but the very best of life’s gifts because you are one of a kind. I want you to be happy. Thank you for crossing my path, dear one. Our bond is precious and nothing can separate us from that.
“Here’s to another year of laughing at our own jokes and respecting each other’s privacy. God bless you with lots of love, happiness, and success.”
Mavis Amoah is even more beloved by her colleagues for not being a bossy senior teacher at the school. She is said to be accommodating and will listen to whoever approaches her. “Babe, as I affectionately call you, anyone who’s got you in their company should count themselves blessed because you have a good heart. Your kind is rare.
“You don’t overdo your bossing. You hit right on the nail whenever it was necessary or supposed to. Charlie, just continue being the wonderful and amazing soul that you are. Happy birthday,” MzGee said.
