Popular Ghanaian musician and song writer, Martin King Arthur also known as Kofi Kinaata in the showbiz circles has released a new song titled “Have Mercy” in celebration of his 32nd birthday today, April 15, 2022.
The song, produced by Willis Beatz, released in the early hours of the day, is an emotional song which finds the musician praying to God to have mercy on him in these difficult times most Ghanaians and the world at large find ourselves in. “Ma mma m’enyim nngu ase” to wit, don’t let me be put to shame, are excerpts of the lyrics of the song.
Explaining the motivation for the release of the song on his birthday, the artiste stated on the Super Morning Show, on Joy FM, Friday, that: “Birthdays are special days. So, if you’ve been monitoring, all of my songs released on my birthday are emotional, deep songs.”
Over the years, Kofi Kinaata has won the admiration and warmth of fans from Ghana and all over the world for his heart-rending and inspiring songs. Many of his fans took to twitter to wish him a happy birthday and also wish him well.
“Your song has been my prayer request for the past one year and I believe God has done it already. Amen,” a fan commented on the song on YouTube. “Happy birthday to Ghana’s Lyrical Highness. God bless you with everything good in life,” another fan commented.
